A Call for Help: NSMS Students Celebrate Patriotic Day
By Erin Hill
On the morning of September 11, 2001, New York was a bright and normal day. Until 8:45am when 4 American Airliners were high-jacked by 19 men armed and ready to attack. Two airplanes crashed into World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and the last crashed 80 miles southeast of Pittsburg. That morning, approximately 2,973 people died. When all of the destruction was done, our flag was still standing in its place. Our country will always remember September 11. To pay tribute to those who died, NSMS participated in Patriotic Day. NSMS wore red, white, blue, shirts. Mr. Nickelson also aired a tribute video about the September 11 events.
