Dual Language Program

Dos Voces, Un Exito
Two Voices, One Triumph

Cimarron Elementary is implementing a 50/50 Dual Language program this year. A 50/50 model means that 50% of the instruction is in English and 50% of the instruction is in Spanish each day. Classrooms are made up of 11 native Spanish-speaking students and 11 native English-speaking students. These students partner up into bilingual pairs so that they can take advantage of peer tutoring throughout the day. Faculty, staff, and parents are trained throughout the year so that they can assist the students in whatever support is needed.
