Galena Park ISD earns Texas Comptroller’s 2012 Gold Leadership Award

GALENA PARK ISD – Galena Park ISD has been awarded the 2012 Gold Leadership Circle Award from the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle program. This is the district’s third year in a row to win this distinguished award.

 

The “GOLD” designation is the Comptroller’s highest ranking and is reserved for local governments “that are striving to meet a high standard for financial transparency online,” according the Comptroller’s Web site, located at http://www.texastransparency.org/local/leadership.php.

 

“We are very proud of the direction our leadership team is taking us. We provide up-to-date information on the District’s financial status for our community and taxpayers. Our goal is to provide this information in an easily accessible format,” said Chief Financial Officer Vikas Chaphekar.
