Angi Williams, Ed.D.
Dr. Angi Williams is a 33 year veteran of the education field. She has served 27 of those years in the Galena Park Independent School District as counselor, assistant principal, principal, Assistant Superintendent for School/Community Relations, and Deputy Superintendent for Educational Support. Dr. Williams was named Superintendent of Schools by the Board of Trustees in December, 2011.
Dr. Williams is a graduate of Prairie View A & M University and Texas Southern University. She holds degrees in mathematics, guidance, and educational administration. Dr. Williams has utilized her artful teaching skills at the university level as an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University.
In addition, Dr. Williams has been recognized for her lifelong dedication to education and service to students. She has been awarded the Outstanding Educational Achievement Award from the Galena Park Education Association, the National Life Achievement Award from the Galena Park Area Council PTA and the Most Outstanding Trailblazer in Education Award from the Ivy League Educational & Charities Foundation. Through her alma mater, she was honored with an induction into the Texas Southern University College of Education Hall of Fame.
