NORTH SHORE MIDDLE SCHOOL RAISES HANDS FOR TAKS. From left, Yen Ly, eighth grade student; joined Paul Drexler, principal; Tammy Harris, eighth grade student; Brandon Whittaker, eighth grade student; Dr. Shirley Neeley, superintendent of schools; and Roberto Diaz, eighth grade student, joined their schoolmates by circling NSMS and raising their hands for the TAKS test. The five fingers on each hand was to remind students of five objects to remember while taking the exam – preview the question, make notes, understand the purpose of the question, look at the key words, and proof your work.
