GPISD & ASTROS HIT HOME RUN. During a pregame ceremony at Minute Maid Park, Dr. Shirley Neeley, superintendent of schools, received an autographed baseball from John Sorrentino, Astros vice president of ticket services. Community members, students, district employees and their family members were invited to purchase half-price Astros tickets. Over 1,000 people from GPISD attended the game.
