Marsha Masi’s response for back to school newspaper article

 

  • Is the construction causing any confusion or interfering with the learning process?

“Today went smoothly. All of the interior construction is finished. There is some exterior construction taking place, but it was easy to reroute students. The remaining construction is not impeding learning at all. Our students are very happy with all of the changes.”

“Our freshman are not the only ones finding their way around the school. Everyone is learning the new room numbering system. We had volunteers on hand with maps to make sure everyone knew where they were going.”

  • Are there any specific goals for Galena Park High School this year?
“Our goals include completing construction and having an open house for the entire community to see the results of the renovations and new facilities. Additional goals include great success in academics, athletics, fine arts, and to improve TAKS scores and increases success in our advanced placement program.”
