MUSTANGS ADVANCE TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. North Shore High School Mustangs beat Westlake Austin (49-7) at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The win sends the Mustangs to the state championship game. They will play the Woodlands Highlanders. This is the first time a GPISD school has advanced to the state championship since Galena Park High School competed for state titles in 1961 and 1964. The Mustangs are scheduled to play the Woodlands on Saturday, Dec. 13 at noon at the Rice stadium. Go Mustangs!
