ENERGY EFFICIENT DISTRICT. Abbi Awdi, supervisor of HVAC maintenance, accepted $113,000 on behalf of GPISD from Karen Gregory, program manager, CenterPoint Energy, and Bruce Colborne, sales engineer, Hou-Tra International. After district wide renovation upgrades, Awdi discovered GPISD was eligible for an incentive program rebate. Center Point Energy and Hou-Tra International teamed up to return the rebate to the district.
