North Shore graduates Roger Davidson and Gabe Munoz, who are both part of the 2007 graduating class, are currently members of the Houston RBI 18-under baseball team that was honored before the Houston Astros July 29 home game at Minute Maid Park.
The Houston RBI team defeated Memphis RBI and Hawaii RBI to advance to the World Series that begins Aug. 7 in California. The championship games will be played Aug. 12 in Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Davidson will attend Texas Southern University while Munoz will attend Lamar University.
Houston RBI is a nonprofit organization committed to providing the youths of Houston and surrounding communities an opportunity to learn and play the game of baseball.
Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is entering its 19th season in 2007. Since its inception in 1989, RBI has grown from a local program for kids in South Central Los Angeles to an international campaign encompassing more than 200 cities and 95,000 players.
