CONGRESSMAN GENE GREEN READS TO HAVARD ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

      Congressman Gene Green enjoys a moment of taking questions from second grade students at Havard Elementary on Oct. 10. He read the book “House Mouse, Senate Mouse” to first grade and second grade students and presented the book, signed by Green and authors Peter W. Barnes and Cheryl Shaw Barnes, to the school’s library.
      Green presented a U.S. Flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol Building on Flag Day – June 14, 2006 to Fran Keal, principal at Havard, before reading to the students. He also talked to the students about the importance of reading and told them that he is still an avid reader and reads for pleasure whenever he has the chance.
