GALENA PARK ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TAKE PART IN NATIONAL LIGHTS ON AFTERSCHOOL! CELEBRATION

           Galena Park Elementary choir members performed several musical numbers for their classmates, friends, neighbors and family members as part or the seventh annual national Lights On Afterschool! celebration on Thursday, Oct. 12. Nationwide, more than 7,500 events were scheduled for the Oct. 12 festivities.
The Lights On Afterschool! program was created in 2000 and is organized by the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to quality, affordable afterschool programs.
