A PENNY GOES A LONG WAY. Priscilla Lyles, NSHS nurse, visited with Glenn Dromgoole, author, at North Shore High School where he signed books and talked with teachers and staff members. Dromgoole wrote Power of the Penny. Administrators at North Shore High read the book, which emphasizes that every person has the power to make the world a better place. School administrators developed the Power of the Penny award, which is presented to those who assist the students and staff at North Shore High in a unique way. Dromgoole plans to encourage other schools across Texas to implement the award.
